What is the Swimway poster?
Migratory fish are real athletes. Some swim thousands of miles, migrating from their place of birth to locations where they can find food or suitable habitats to reproduce. They depend on free flowing rivers to survive. Their routes present many challenges like rapids, waterfalls and fishing nets, but also the claws and jaws of predators like grizzly bears and sea eagles. Fish species illustrated in the poster are shown with an arrow that represents their swimming direction. This Swimways poster has been produced for World Fish Migration Day.
